European Transport / Trasporti Europei is edited by ISTIEE and AIIT and published by Giordano Editore.
European Transport / Trasporti Europei is an international journal, written in English. The aim is to promote and disseminate new ideas, which can help reach the sustainability of transport systems.
Both the mobility of passengers and freight are fields of interest. Transport topics will be approached from many disciplines or perspectives. Economic, engineering and geographical aspects will be given a particular emphasis.
The objective is to satisfy the demand of knowledge and diffusion of new research studies, policies, processes and actions in order to stimulate the interdisciplinary debate, regarding all transport modes (road, rail, maritime and air transport) and their interaction.
The five areas of interest are the following:
- Area of mobility planning and geography of networks
- Area of transport infrastructures
- Area of transport economy
- Planning and safety area of transport systems
- Area of transport law
All papers submitted for publication are refereed by two anonymous reviewers and accepted solely on the basis of quality and importance.
Occasionally, special issues will be arranged with the aim to collect important contributions from prominent researchers on specific topics.
Starting from the year 2012 European Transport / Trasporti Europei is an open-access Journal. Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license applies to papers.
There are no printed issues. Readers and authors pay no fees. All paper are freely available on line. The listed databases continue abstracting/indexing the Journal.
